Although I wasn't too thrilled with the Oscar gowns this year, I did fall in love with 2 dresses. That would be the magnificent Michelle Williams in Chanel and Jennifer Lawrence (who is stunning as well) in Calvin Klein. I was thrilled Michelle didn't go with something frumpy because she is too gorgeous to not be seen. It seemed the simple trend was happening a lot this award season and although I do love a good over the top gown, it was a nice change. I love the fact that something so simple (like all of Calvin Klein's dresses) can be so elegant with just a touch of sexy.

Like a breath of fresh air...
Blake Lively has always been the primary reason I follow Gossip Girl. Putting the devilish Chuck Bass and quick-witted Blaire Waldorf aside (they come in 2nd). I can't help but tune in simply to see what Serena will be wearing next!! Suffice to say, I was thrilled to come across these candid shots of her on the Gossip Girl set in Paris. As if she weren't chic enough they threw her in the Paris mix. She pretty much took my breath away in those wide leg salmon pants, I mean could she look any more glamorous?! Not to mention the shot of those blue trousers with the gold jacket. My jaw just about hit the floor with the sight of that as well. I also loved the Chanel dress she wore to the Runway show. So girly and fresh. WHAT I would do to walk a day in her shoes...no seriously, those gold studded Brian Atwoods are to-die-for.

Two of my favorite things...
I had the most delicious cupcake from Crumbs Bakery yesterday. I just discovered there is one right near my school which means....so much for me watching my cholesterol. :/ They would have been perfection if they looked like these. :) I think there should be a cupcake store on every corner, kind of like Starbucks. They make me so happy, the world would be a better place. :)

Vendetta
My mind goes rampid for fall/ winter attire. I am craving all things Alexander Wang, deep crazy dark nail polish, purple everything, over the top platforms, leather jackets, gold, and tights in all patterns and textures. My heart melts in this seasonal frenzy. <3

I want a yacht, and really that's not a lot!
When I write that this Chanel bag has been in my dreams, I'm nowhere near kidding. I've lusted after luxurious designer bags for as long as I can remember but in now way shape or form would I actually be willing to give up many life necessities in order to afford this black beauty. I've also had my eye on the Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 (in the Damier canvas) for quite some time as well. Apparently I better get moving on what I want because since just last year the price of that sucker has gone up almost a hundred bucks! It mysteriously went from $620---to $700! At this rate I feel like I might as well go all out and splurge on the Chanel...right? It's obviously not the best time of the year to be thinking of such luxury items...tis the season to give and all, but a girl can't help but dream.
I can't believe thanksgiving is next week...!! This year flew by so fast, a lot faster than I had thought it would. I do love this time of the year though, the chilly (but not too chilly) weather, the smell of winter slowly approaching, Christmas commercials, red holiday cups at Starbucks, and of course the Christmas season wouldn't be complete without goodies like the movie "Elf", Mallomars (yummyyy!), big chunky sweaters and cute knitted hats and scarves. I truly enjoy the weeks leading up to Christmas far more than the big day itself. I've had somewhat of a writers block the last few days and have had tons on my mind! Right now I'm sorting out my next move in life (I mean that literally & figuratively).
Anyway I'm off to explore Express online because I was extremely excited to find the Holiday coupon book in the mail today. I'm also eying several items at Aldo, Nine West, and H&M. I wish I was a millionaire. I need to do whatever it takes to ensure that I make a salary sufficient enough to afford my lavish taste and still be comfortable....Thank God I went back to school after all!
Santa can you hear me? ;)
Oh yeah, I'm currently listening to my all time favoriteee Christmas Songs to put me in the holly jolly spirit!
Right now: Madonna, Santa Baby

Black Satin

I love getting dark colors when I get my mani's and pedi's. I usually stick with Wicked or Soul Mate by Essie. I decided to try the Black trend that seems to be everywhere and I picked up a bottle of Chanels Black Satin. LOVE IT. I was concerened how it might look against my fair skin but it's not regular black, it has a nice silky shine to it. Anyway I swear I'm not crazy even though that little bottle cost ...$24! =)
