Gossip Stunners

I'm a true Gossip Girl fan and have been watching the show since episode 1. I'm also a true fan of the stylists used on set, they know just how to dress each character true to part. Last nights episode featured the sexy bombshell that is Blake Lively in a short fitted one sleeved purple dress that I instantly fell hard for. I scrambled to the computer to find out who made it, and to no surprise it is an Alexander Wang piece. Gorgeous!!! I also took note of the dress Jessica Szohr wore in the opening flashback scene. It happens to be a Reem Acra gown that I've had my eye on for quite some time now. I think it was on the runway a little over a year ago. It became one of my all time favorite gowns when Olivia Wilde wore it to the '08 Emmy's and I was in awe of it the entire time she walked the red carpet. She looked like a goddess. Truly one of my favorite dresses everrrrrr!!! I also think it would make for a beyond gorgeous wedding dress...right?! So simple and classic, and it has that timeless delicate feel to it. Love Love Love.

CFDA Awards Review

The Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards took place this past week at Lincoln Center and these were just some of my favorite looks that were there. Among them were Blake Lively whoa stole the spotlight yet again in a hot pink Michael Kors number. Is it just me or does she always look so bright and happy? I keep noticing Diane Kruger in all the fashion columns lately always wearing something somewhat unusual but extremely fashion forward. She wore Jason Wu and there is something about this dress that normally wouldn't appeal to me but seeing it on her I keep looking again and again. The sleeves bothered me a bit but as I kept looking I fell more and more in love with it. Whitney Port was also one of my favorites. I feel like when she was on The Hills she was pretty simple and plain, and since moving to "The City" she has become quite a risk taker! I Love it! She wore a Luca Luca gown, but it's her hair and make-up that I really love...

Flashing Lights.

Only looking at the first pic would you know RIGHT away who the elite couple being photographed were? Of course I did. Brangelina dominated not only the Cannes Film Festival, but I'm pretty sure all of France! I mean who else could get that much attention in one space?! I know the media are all over them but they really are fabulous to look at. What I find really funny is how low key they try to be sometimes. While Angie has been filming her new movie "Salt" in NYC, the dynamic duo took up residence in none other than Oyster Bay, LI. Aka-a small quaint quiet town.....so NOT where you would expect them to pop up. It's been in all the papers what a frenzy they have been stirring making appearances in the local Stop and Shop, as well as the Dunkin Donuts, CVS, and Brad even took two of the kiddies to catch a movie at the local theater. I can only imagine what the locals are thinking with these two traipsing all over town! Amazing. I have to note how stunning that dress is Angelina is wearing. The color against her fair skin looks so elegant and rich. I also appreciate the high thigh slit in the right leg (Soooo Hotttt!)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! I know I did! I stayed on LI at my girlies house and just did a bunch of random things..City Friday night for Fleet Week, serving my country by entertaining some cute soldiers on there short time off ;) Sat I hit the beach with my best friend Kelly for the air show, it was a bit chilly but I def. got some good color! Yayy. So happy for the summer and the beach!! I also decided to stop listening to the Weather, because they NEVER get it right anymore, it's kinda scary.. =/ Like how it was supposed to rain all weekend and it turned out beautiful every day?! I'm not complaining....well actually I am. Oh well, the weekend turned out great and I had tons of fun with my friends. Hope you guys had a great one too!!

Met. Gala

So I finally picked up a pair of white Chuck Taylors (yayy!). I also got a fresh mani with one of the previously posted Essie Colors...Flirty Fuchsia! It put me right in the summer mood. Unfortunatly we haven't had any summer OR spring like weather the past week or so. Just rain, rain, rain!! >=( I had finals all week and I've been stressing pretty bad, but I can't believe how FAST this semester flew by!!

I treated myself to some shopping in between finals on Tuesday and picked up some lovely summer dresses from Zara. I never really shopped there until recently, and I must say...EVERYTHING in that store was appealing to me! Although somewhat pricey, they had an enormous sale section with super cute items drastically marked down. The flowy sheer blouses, flower patterns and nude shades were all over, mixed in with some brights of course. Since I had some coupons to use up in Express I also purchased some more gold bangles (I've been wearing them with everything these days..), and my first "statement" gold necklace. It's long, big and chunky with, pearl, jade, and coral shapes on it.

The met gala was this week, and although it's always fun browsing through the photos of the gowns, and artistic pieces the elite show up wearing, I felt like there were no pieces that really popped or were flawless like last year. Rhianna's Dolce and Gabbana tux was...interesting? Blake Lively wore a stunnng Versace gown (I think my Fav. dress of the night). Leighton Meester is so beautiful and she showed up in some sort of avante garde suit... she would have been so lovely in a gown!!!!!!!!! But in the end, that's Fashion and that's why I love it so <3 The Fashion Show starts tonight on Bravo, and I actually went to a tapping of it. Quite interesting, the audience does the judging ;) along with Isaac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland so tune in! Hey, it's something to hold me over until Project Runway starts up again!

OSCAR Fashion Recap

Even though she wore black, I think Angelina Jolie looked classic and timeless! I really can't get enough of that dress, the jewels and her hair!

..I also LOVED Natalie Portman and Penelope Cruz. KATE WINSLET looked like Grace Kelly and I'm so happy she won! =)
