And then there was you..

"Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you're wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn't love you anymore."

My top Grammy fashions. Obvi Lady Gaga is in there because she can do no wrong in my eyes...I love that she gets to be whoever she feels like being when she gets dressed...it's just fabulous. Heidi Klum, another of my favorite glamour ladies, sparkled in that short little number. I really think she's only getting hotter with age...so crazy!!! And of course as mentioned in a previous post, Lea Michelle from 'Glee' has been showing up at all the big events and rocking every red carpet. Here she's in a Ramona Keveza dress and she's radiant as always. I was very disappointed in Beyonce's gown that she wore on the red carpet but did appreciate the gold short number she changed into during the show. Also on the fence with Taylor Swifts gown?? love the silhouette just unsure of the color...? Overall there was no 'Wow' poppers for me but just some okay...nice looking dresses. Who were some of your favorite grammy looks of the night??

"I would never leave my career for a man right now, and I would never follow a man around.”
Lady Gaga, Elle Magazine Jan '10

I've had quite a hectic week to say the least, and I find myself noticing that when it rains, it really does pour. But, not necessarily in a bad way. I've been going crazy doing stuff for school and trying to make some important changes in my life. To top it off, I FINALLY was able to get my hands on the aldo 'cassetty' boots I've had my eye on the past couple of months -- unfortunately, they run extremely small and I ordered the wrong size! I was able to find the size I do need at one of the stores in NYC and will be picking them up tomorrow. The only thing I'm worrying about is if they will fit my calf's, because I have "muscular calves" according to most, which means I struggle with normal boots in general. Grrrrrrr!!!! Hopefully they fit...otherwise I'm going to be one sad girl. I've been on a hunt for the PERFECT pair of over the knee boots since the end of the summer.. =(

I have my friend Sarah coming in from Boston on Saturday and we will be spending the weekend in the city, shopping and what not. Needless to say, with company coming and the holiday season in full swing, my 'boot' dilemma, and the school stuff to take care of....I've been running around like a chicken without a head!

One small thing that made me happy was Lady Gaga on the new Jan. issue of Elle Magazine. I've been listening to 'The Fame Monster' nonstop so anything Lady Gaga related, really makes me smile.
Current track to obsess over: 'Dance in the dark' =)

Lady Gaga dominating V Magazine and doing what she does best: Taking Fashion and pop culture to a whoooooole other level. I think she's fierce and I can't get enough of her absurdly crazy outfits, the props that she wears/ uses during her performances, and her fearless attitude. I think having her do what she's doing in Pop music right now is refreshing and well needed. This coming from a HARDCORE Madonna fan (I was 6 yrs old when I started watching her dance around stage with the cone bra on), I think she is without a doubt going to not only stick around but she's going to push boundaries and continue to do outlandish things in the process of her career. Not since the material girl herself has it become expected of someone to wear...bras that have sparklers in them, go pantless, and wear outfits constructed solely out of bubbles, lace or hoisery. Bottom line: She is making music and fashion fun! And on top of that she's got a really good voice and knows how to hold the attention of an audience! (Hence, her recent performance on SNL when she played piano and sang an assortment of her own music all while wearing the giant orb.) Without a doubt one of my favorite performances ever.
