4/5/09 <3

This past week was quite a crazy one! First and foremost, my beautiful and amazing sister got MARRIED!! I'm so happy for her! The build up for the big day was quite chaotic and my sister was the most laid back bride ever! I seriously was more nervous than she was not only the days leading up to it--but the big day as well. I'm not kidding. I recall getting our hair and make-up done and the hairdresser noticing my twitching hands, and my sister flipping through magazines sipping her Starbucks without a worry in the world. She really is too much some times. We left the Salon all done up and her with her Vail attached to her head. On the way to the hall to get ready she made me stop at Macy's with her to pick up white flip-flops and Michael's to grab a frame for a sign she wanted to leave on the seating arrangement table. I took pictures of her driving with the Vail on, like the total bride on the go that she is. I swear if we had extra time, she would have definitely stopped at her office on the way to check her messages!! It was quite funny though being in the passenger seat driving with many people pointing and laughing at us on the parkway. What bride do you know that would drive around on her wedding day like it's no big deal?! My sister! I guess that's why I love her so much..we were laughing so hard on the way I wish the whole thing was on tape for the rest of my family to see.

The ceremony was beautiful and it was literally the PERFECT day! She got married outside and the cocktail hour/ reception was indoors with a beautiful terrace and pool to go outside and take pictures by. I couldn't have envisioned a more perfect day to get married. It was so exciting!!!! Although I was completely nervous about walking down the aisle, I must say it was so sunny out I couldn't even see any faces which made it a breeze! I just took a deep breath and listened to the matre'd when he said "Walk slow, and smile big!." My sisters husband is Jewish and as all traditional Jewish weddings, in the beginning we danced to The Hora. WELL what a workout that turned out to be! I felt like I came out of a dynamic spin class 10 minutes into the tremendous dance! Of course being maid of honor I had to give a speech which was perhaps the one part I was dreading since I got the call that she was even getting married! Luckily I was a smooth operator and got through it with lots of cheers, a few giggles and lots of guests coming up saying what a good job I did! I felt sooooo good after that! All it took was one person to say something nice and I was on cloud 9. The night went by way too fast. I was having so much fun catching up with old friends and family that I haven't seen in so long, before I knew it they were cleaning up and everyone was leaving. I didn't even have time to eat and the food was delicious..(Luckily the hall gave my family lots of leftovers, so I did much sampling after the wedding! )

Anyway my sister married a really great guy and I'm really happy she found someone who I know will love her and cherish her everyday for the rest of their lives. He even sang to her during the reception. I had no idea he could sing but out of nowhere he was on stage belting out "Till there was you". Impressed wasn't even the word! I shed a lot of tears that night. I can only hope one day I find someone that amazing! Along with the beautiful wedding day came lots of fun pampering and girlie stuff at the Salon. We both got fake eyelashes put on for the first time and OMG was I impressed! I still have them on and its been almost a week! I don't even have to put on any eye make-up because the lashes do all the work themselves! I decided it's most definitely necessary to get eye lash fill-ins weekly/ monthly? We shall see. I don't ever want them to come off!!!! ;)

I am majorly procrastinating writing a paper for my writing workshop class right now. I have until Wednesday to hand it in, but I found out last Wednesday so I gave myself a deadline for this Monday. Better get workin!
