This and that...

As eager as I've been to jump into the fall wardrobe madness, I've had to watch my spending tremendously the last few months due to my current finances (or lack thereof?). So yeah it's been a while since I made any lavish purchases which, for me is -- rare. I know I'm much better off...but seriously this time last year I was stocking up on clothes/ shoes/ accessories left and right. But perhaps that's also why I'm in debt way over my head right now?? Hmm....I've recently decided to turn to Ebay to help make some extra cash on the side. Turns out...even though I clean out my closet/ wardrobe 2-3 times a year, I found A LOT of stuff that I just will never wear again, or things that are really nice that I only wore once. I pulled out handbags, NEVER worn shoes (still in the box!), and even some old Tiffany Jewelry that I collected over the years. All stuff that I don't wear/ never will (regardless of how much I tell myself I will...it just doesn't happen). It's sure as hell not doing anything for me just sitting stashed away....so might as well make some $$$.

My sister gave me an E-gift certificate to forever21.com which I had a field day using! The items above are just a few of the things I splurged on (even though the most expensive thing in my $75 order was a boyfriend blazer for $22.99.) You seriously can't go wrong with forever21, especially when you have a VERY tight budget. The tiger tee was one of my favs. Looks good just thrown over leggings or jeans--it's baggy and cool but looks great dressed up with a blazer and some fun accessories. I also picked up a cute gold 3 layer leaf necklace and a fab. pair of big circle medallion earrings (gold of course). I'm very excited with the many different leggings that are going around right now. Such a variety of fun colors, patterns, textures, and subtle yet noticeable little touches on them. The ones above have little zippers on the side. My next jump is right into a pair of liquid leggings. I just have to find a good solid pair that fit right. So far boyfriend blazers, baggy tees, leggings galore, some crazy ankle booties/ and over the top boots! These are just a few of my f-a-v-o-r-i-t-e fall pieces.

I'm going to pull some of my favorite fall looks from Fashion Week and post those soon as well. I'm off to finish reading "Eat Pray Love" which I didn't really think I would like but have fallen very hard into...it's very inspiring! Oh yeah, I was going to do a VMA post as well but I honestly wasn't too impressed with any of the wardrobe selections this year. Lady Gaga changed a million times and each outfit looked more and more like she was from outer space...but I still love her. What were your thoughts on VMA fashions this year??
