The Australian beauty that is Gemma Ward has been the target of scrutiny the past few weeks for a supposed "weight gain". The famed model who has been on countless magazine covers and has posed for the fashion elite including, YSL, D&G, Prada, and Dior (just to name a few) has reportedly quit the modeling business. You can read about it in the article below. Even though she looks to have gained (some) weight, I think she looks far better and healthier than before. If anything I think she looks real and still stunningly beautiful...not emaciated with bones popping out everywhere. It's really sad that society still cannot accept a truly beautiful young woman as just that. The weight issues are constantly in play and it's pretty scary (lets not forget the recent Ralph Lauren model who was fired for also "gaining weight" and not remaining a double zero on her tall 5'10 frame!!). It's absurd!!!!!!! If for someone of such stature and high credibility can get taken down and chewed over a few extra pounds, what kind of example is that setting for the future models and young women who aspire to make it in the industry?
